cash collins wasn't always one to be caught mixed in with the wrong crowd. growing up on a small ranch in the middle of nowhere, texas didn't leave many opportunities for a young boy to get into too much trouble. after his family had moved from his mother's home country, canada, the family had settled in dallas, texas. where they settled on their own plot of land and begun building a business that revolved around raising horses and cattle. at a very young age, cash had already learned the ropes of the land. taking care of horses, carefully avoiding the cattle after being severely traumatized by the animals need to chase him around the ranch. he had grown up with a large amount of responsibility under his belt along side his younger sister and his older brother. the entire family contributing to their way of life in their small town and on their small ranch. the family had worked hard to grow their business and survive off of what money they had made from it.
the young boy had taken inspiration from his father. admiring everything he had brought to the table, watching as he provided for his family and how skilled he was in many different areas. one being fixing up old, beat up cars. something cash had fallen in love with doing. spending most of his time after school to work on cars with his father. learning his very own set of skills. while everything had seemed to be going fine for the collins family, the death of his father had changed that safe feeling for all of them. cash himself taking it the hardest after he had fallen in with the wrong crowd and arguing with his father over it just before his death. he wasn't one to forgive himself so easily. taking his pain and directing it right back into the world. recklessness had become something natural for him. finding his way into trouble became easier the moment he had met a man named xander. he had quickly become the father figure in his life. teaching him how to hotwire cars, pushing him to selling drugs and petty crimes.
it wasn't long before cash had worked his way up the chain. going from petty crimes to bigger jobs. eventually getting the opportunity to make his way to san francisco to run his own mechanic garage. one that moonlighted as a safe haven for those who were up to no good. cars would always be his passion but there was an undeniable need to follow through with the bad streak that ran through him.
Wade Wilson was born as a normal person into a highly dysfunctional family in a small town in the state of Ohio. He ran away as a teenager and bounced around the country, all the while getting military training from various sources until he decided to become a mercenary. He kept changing his identity whenever something went wrong with the mission. He moved to Canada where he met a man by the name of Wade T. Wilson. Since he was Wade W. Wilson, the name reminded him of his old self. When he was ordered to assassinate Wade T., he accidentally killed the target's wife, Mercedes. In the end, Wade T. ran away to eventually become the voodoo mercenary T-Ray while Wade W. kept the name "Wade T. Wilson" and never changed it out of respect for his namesake's wife. When he was diagnosed with inoperable brain cancer, he volunteered for a subset of the Weapon-X program that was attempting to imbue a normal human with Wolverine’s healing factor. Since he is Wade T. Wilson, he has Canadian citizenship, allowing him entry into the Weapon X program. The procedure was a success, but Deadpool, who took his name from the pool that the officers and scientists bet in as to who would die next in the experimentation, became severely mentally unbalanced as a result of it. He escaped the facility and has been wandering ever since. Some people might speculate that before his name was Wade Winston Wilson his name was Jack though this isn't confirmed.
